The Hutton’s sponsored yacht has had a busy season competing in numerous events around the world.

Hutton’s sponsors a SB3 racing yacht crewed by Richard Wharram, Ben Williamson and Nick Wright from Yorkshire.
Since competing in the World Championships in Torbay in May (where they came 36th out of 110 boats) the team have taken part in numerous other events over the summer.
Hutton’s MD Alex Taylor joined the team to compete in Dublin at Ireland’s biggest annual event – the Dun Laoghaire Regatta – in July. A total of 450 boats competed and we are delighted to report that the Hutton’s vessel came fourth out of 35 in her class.
The three-man Hutton’s crew then competed in the UK National Championships on the Solent in August before they headed back over to Dun Laoghaire in Ireland in September for the Irish National Championships where Hutton’s came eight overall.
Hutton’s final event of the season was a very windy affair in Hellevoetsluis, Holland taking part in the Dutch National Championships. In winds gusting 35-40 knots the Hutton’s team’s excellent boat-handling skills enabled them to finish a very respectable fourth out of a fleet of 25 boats.
To watch coverage of the Hutton’s yacht in action please see this Youtube clip from the Dutch National Championships. You will spot the Hutton’s vessel at minutes 2.10 and 5.25.
